The District Police Office Kaski has arrested 12 cadres of Nepal Communist Party, led by Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav' in the district as they were found involving in anti-election activities.
Earlier, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) had ordered on-sight arrest of the cadres of Chand-led party in the wake of attacks targeting election candidates in various districts.
Police have further stated that they have closely watched anti-election activities that aim to disrupt the upcoming federal and provincial elections scheduled for November 26 and December 7. RSS
