A minor died on the spot in a road accident at Tamaghat on the Araniko Highway on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as three-year-old Ram Bahadur Kunwar, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mukunda Marasini.
The accident took place when a tipper (Ba 4 Kha 3268) heading towards Dhulikhel from Dolalghat of Kavrepalanchowk hit the child at Tamaghat, according to the District Police Office, Dhulikhel.
Locals and relatives of the child have obstructed the traffic along the Araniko highway from 9:00 am. Police have arrested the driver ad impounded the vehicle.
