Twenty six people were injured when a passenger bus collided with tipper at Ramnagar Jungle in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 in Chitwan district 9:30 today morning.
Of them, seven were critically hurt in the incident, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shiva Sharma Acharya, adding that all injured ones, including the drivers of bus, were receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College.
The incident took place when the Gorkha-bound bus (Na 5 Kha 8694) coming from Narayangadh in Chitwan struck with tipper (Ba 3 Kha 9012) coming from the opposite direction, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
The driver of the tipper has been absconding following the incident and police are searching for him, DSP Acharya said.
