RPP hopeful quits party to assist CPN-UML
Rastriya Prajata-ntra Party federal constituency-1 candidate in Kavre district Rabindra Khadka has quit the party.

Rastriya Prajata-ntra Party federal constituency-1 candidate in Kavre district Rabindra Khadka has quit the party.
Khadka, also the chairman of the party’s sister wing Rastrabadi Kalakarmi Manch, announced that he would assist the CPN-UML in the upcoming elections. He blamed the dispute over candidate selection on his decision to quit the party.
“I requested party Chairman Kamal Thapa and Nepali Congress leaders to pick me as a federal constituency candidate for the upcoming elections. Since Thapa didn’t take it seriously, I decided to quit the party,” he said.
Former lawmaker Tirtha Lama was unanimous as the NC candidate in constituency-1. Khadka had asked Lama to accept him as the candidate.
