An elderly woman who was critically injured after being hit by a motorbike at Prakashpur Rajabas area of Baraha Municipality in Sunsari district on Wednesday breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital on Thursday morning.

According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, the deceased has been identified as 84-year-old Leelamaya Rai.

Police said that they have impounded the bike (Ko 25 Pa 8843) and arrested its rider Satya Narayan Sharma, 84, of Bhokraha Rural Municipality for investigation. RSS
