A pillion rider died in a road accident at Shuklaphanta Municipality-5 om Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Chaudhary, 19, of Bhimdutta Municipality-19, according to the Area Police Office, Jhalari. The accident took place when a motorcycle (Ma 2 Pa 3456) in motion lost control after hitting the roadside drain canal.
Motorcyclist Kapil Chaudhary, 20, was injured in the incident and is receiving treatment at Mahakali Zonal Hospital, said Police inspector Lalmani Joshi.
