Police have arrested a person for raping a 14-year-old girl after taking her hostage in the district.

He is Kul Bahadur Katwal of Triyuga Municipality-9 in Udayapur district, according to the District Police Office, Khotang. He is a tractor driver.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Lokdarsan Thapa, said that Katwal was arrested on October 15 on the basis of complaint filed by victim's mother against Katwal. He had made the girl hostage kidnapping her and raped her since long alluring of marriage.

Katwal has confessed his crime and he has now been kept at the District Police Office. Katwal had kidnapped the girl on September 8 and became successful to escape from there on September 14. RSS
