A foreigner identifying himself as an American national was arrested for travelling without a passport near Nepal-China border in Dolakha on Saturday.
Grant Yo, who claimed to be a resident of California of USA, was detained from Gonger in Lamabagar. He told police that he had lost his bag where he had kept his passport and other valuables.
Stating that he was born to a Tibetan father and American mother, Yo said that he was returning from a monastery in Lapche after a two-week meditation retreat. He was sent to immigration office in Kathmandu for investigation. (PR)
