Having announced its candidates for Kathmandu constituencies earlier, the newly united Bibeksheel Sajha Party on Saturday made public a list of candidates for some districts outside the Valley.
The party has come up with a list of candidates for the first-past-the-post seats. The five new candidates are for Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Lamjung and Dolakha.
Shashi Bikram Shah, a BSP central committee member, will contest the polls from Bhaktapur-2.
The party also decided to field its two candidates—Bhupendra Basnet and Sharad Raj Pathak—from Chitwan. Journalists by profession, Basnet and Pathak will be representing the party from Chitwan-2 and 3, respectively.
Likewise, the party decided to field Nirdesh Silawal from Lamjung and Bijay Babu Shiwakoti from Dolakha. The two districts have one federal constituency each.
BSP Spokesperson Ramesh Paudyal said the party will announce more candidates later. The party plans to file candidacies for up to 60 of the 165 federal parliamentary seats.
In Kathmandu Valley, the party will have its candidates in all the 15 constituencies. Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have 10, 3 and 2 constituencies, respectively.
