A Chinese tourist was fined Rs 25,000 for using a drone camera in Manang without permit.
Police detained Wang Zhongdi from Chame on Monday before handing him over to the District Administration Office for legal action.
Chief District Officer Hari Prasad Panta said he was let off after he paid Rs 25,000 fine set by the Civil Aviation Authority.
The camera’s memory was also erased before it was returned to its owner. Earlier in April, Manang police had detained a Greek tourist from the same village for operating a drone camera.
Then, he was fined Rs 5,000.
Use of drone cameras has been regulated by the government.
