An adult wild elephant was found dead at a community forest in Belaka Municipality-9, Udayapur, on Friday. According to Area Police Office, Rampurthoksila, the tusker’s carcass was found at Machhapuchhre Community Forest that abuts the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. Tusks and tail of the beast were stolen. Police said poachers might have killed the tusker for its parts.  (PR)
