Limbuwan State Council affiliated to the Rastriya Janamukti Party (RJP) enforced a banda in nine eastern districts across the Arun river on Sunday.
Transport service, shops, factories and schools were closed in several districts due to the banda. Chandra Khapung, vice-chairman of RJP, said in a statement the banda was called to protest the “seizure of Limbuwan rights by King Prithvi Narayan Shah.” (PR)
