Over 400 cadres of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal quit the party on Sunday.
Organising a press meet at Rafat Sanchar Club in the Capital, some 450 cadres of the party announced they were leaving the party. They blamed the party of taking part in directionless movement.
Speaking at the press meet, central member of All Nepal Federation of Trade Unions Yubaraj Acharya said the party had worked against the spirit of 'People's War'. "We decided to quit after the party leadership betrayed the cadres," he said.
The party's Area-4 incharge Jowan Tamang, All Nepal Federation of Trade Unions Bhaktapur Chairperson Bikram Acharya, among other 450 district level leaders and cadres, called it quit during the programme.
