Likewise, more than a dozen houses in Nuwakot are at risk of inundation.
The part of the bridge towards Nuwakot has collapsed after the flood caused damages in the pillar of the bridge.
However, movement of the locals is not affected though the suspension bridge was swept away as another bridge near the location is left undamaged, local resident Shashi Dangol said.
The bridge was constructed with support from the Government of Scotland in 2004 BS. This is also the first bridge that connected outer districts to Rasuwa and that helped flourish Nepal's trade towards China through Rasuwagadhi.
Meanwhile, three families have been displaced after the landslides caused damages at Kukhure in Shivapuri Rural Municipality in the district. The houses of Devi Bahadur Thapa, his son Lekh Bahadur and neighbour Ganga Bahadur Thapa are at risk of landslides. RSS
