Police seized 2,600 contraband chickens and arrested five Indian men from Danfe in Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality, Bardiya, on Thursday.

Mulle Manihaar, Pappu Yadav, Salim Khan, Nasim Khan and Rahul Khan were caught with the chickens near the Nepal-India border, said police.

Contraband cosmetic items worth Rs 113,000 were also seized from Mohammadpur in Gulariya on the same day.
