Former Nepali Ambassador to Bangladesh Pradeep Khatiwada passed away in Kathmandu at the of 68, on Monday evening. He was suffering from throat cancer. Khatiwada had served as officiating secretary at the Foreign Ministry for a few months and as diplomat in various Nepali missions, including in India, the US, Germany. He was recalled by the then royal regime in 2006 from New Delhi for supporting the democratic movement in Nepal. He was very bold and bright career diplomat and inspiring for many, said his former colleague Dinesh Bhattarai, the foreign relations adviser to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Khatiwada is survived by his wife.
