The talks between government team and representatives of agitating Dr Govinda KC have begun at Ministry of Education in Singhadurbar.
Dr YP Singh, Dr Ranjan Sapkota and Dr Jeevan Chhetri are representing Dr KC while a three-member committee under Education Secretary Shanta Bahadur Shrestha is representing the government.
Senior orthopedic surgeon at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital Dr KC started his 11th hunger strike from Monday demanding reforms in country's medical education sector.
Dr KC's primary demand is endorsement of Health Profession Education Bill that has been in Parliament for about a year now.
