Dates for provincial and federal elections would be announced soon, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said on Friday at a programme organised to mark the 35th memorial day of the late BP Koirala, the founding leader of the Nepali Congress and the country’s first people’s elected prime minister.

The government on Thursday formed the Constituency Delineation Commission, which will carve out 165 electoral constituencies for provincial and federal polls to be held by January next year.
