An elderly man died after being attacked by a wild elephant at Belaka Municipality-3 in Udayapur on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Ram Bahadur Magar, 58, of the same municipality.
The elephant, believed to have entered the village from a nearby forest, attacked him at around 4 am today, police Inspector Subash Rai said.
He was rushed to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences where he breathed his last during the course of treatment. RSS
