Two villagers died and another was injured in an electric shock in Gokul Ganga Rural Municipality-5 in Ramechhap on Monday evening.
According to Ramechhap District Police Office, Kirshna Bahadur Khadka and Sharmila Khadka were electrocuted when they were returning home carrying fodder. Krishna’s wife Suntali has sustained injuries. She has been taken to Kathmandu for treatment, said a local.
The victims were electrocuted after the fodder they were carrying touched an electric pole which was touching a wire that had snapped from an 11kV transmission line.
The repair work is underway, said Bishnu Khadka, manager of the Khimti Rural Cooperative.
