Two persons drowned at a local river in Sankhuwasabha on Tuesday evening.

Police identified the deceased as Shree Krishna Rai and Santosh Rai of Pauwadong Rural Municipality-1, Bhojpur.

According to DSP Sanotsh Khadka, the duo was the employees of Rauta-Apex JV Company. The incident occurred when they ventured into the river to measure the bridge.

The bodies have already been handed over their respective families after carrying out post-mortem at the Khandbari Hospital, it is learnt.
