Poet Dahal Yagya Nidhi, a renowned radio presenter of the yore who had a huge fan following for his unique style, has been awarded with the Buddha Harmony Kamal Raj Regmi Literary Award 2017.
The award, which carries a purse of Rs 50,000, was conferred on Dahal by the Buddha Harmony Foundation on Sunday.
The award was established by Sandhya Regmi, the founder president of the Buddha Harmony Foundation, and is conferred every year on individuals who have made contributions in the literature, education or social work, according to a statement issued by the foundation.
Bhikkhu Kondanya Mahastabir, secretary General of All Nepal Monk Association and senior advisor to the Buddha Harmony Foundation presented the award to Dahal.
