Nepal Police arrested an Indian man with 130 tola of illegal gold from Hetauda on Thursday.
The arrestee has been identified as 35-year-old Suman Kumar, resident of Motihari in Indian state of Bihar.
Kumar was traveling in a Tata Sumo heading towards Birgunj when police caught him with the yellow metal during a security check at Ratomatey checkpoint in Hetauda Sub-metropolis-15.
Police said they are further investigating into the case.
