Cadres of Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist hurled stones and smashed a moving passenger vehicle at Khairahani Chowk in the district on Tuesday allegedly for defying a nation-wide banda called by the party.
Two cadres of the party in a scooter hurled stones at the Kathmandu-bound vehicle (Na 6 Kha 1085) and broke its windowpanes, Superintendent of Police Dipak Thapa, adding that a search has been launched for the protestors.
Meanwhile, the district has seen less effect of the protest organised to press the government to release cadres of the Party arrested earlier at the earliest.
Vehicles leaving from the district have been assisted to their destinations under police escort, Thapa said. RSS
