Two dead, 26 injured in Salyan bus accident
A passenger bus swerved off the road and plunged nearly 200 metres below at Sallekhola in Tribeni Rural Municipality of Salyan on Sunday, killing at least two persons and injuring 26 others. Sixteen of the injured are reportedly in critical conditions.

A passenger bus swerved off the road and plunged nearly 200 metres below at Sallekhola in Tribeni Rural Municipality of Salyan on Sunday, killing at least two persons and injuring 26 others. Sixteen of the injured are reportedly in critical conditions.
The vehicle (Na 4 Kha 5754) was on its way to Rukum from Ghorahi of Dang when the accident took place. Police identified the deceased as Man Bahadur BK, 25, of Muru and Ratu Khadka, 52, of Chhatreshwori in Rukum district. Police said 16 seriously injured people were taken to Nepalgunj for treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus skidded off the road while avoiding an oncoming vehicle.
Similarly, 10 persons were injured, one critically, when a Damauli-bound bus
overturned at Gunadi.
