Rolpa
Nepal Communist Party has announced an indefinite strike in protest of the local administration's non-compliance with its demand to free its cadre.
In a statement issued by the party's District Secretary, Dalakhadur Khatri, the party stated that it is enforcing the strike with the demand of the release of its cadre who was arrested on charges of involvement in anti-election activities.
The authorities arrested 11 cadres including a journalist and were released at 10 pm on Sunday.
The local administration is yet to release, Bir Bahadur Oli, who was arrested a few days ago. He is still in custody and has not been released, the Rolpa chapter of the party said. The party has vowed to obstruct transportation until the release of its cadre. RSS
