Rolpa
The ward chairperson of Duikholi Rural Municipality-3 in Rolpa was elected through a lottery after two candidates received equal number of votes.
Bhim Bahadur KC of Nepali Congress and Jhapiram Dangi of CPN (Maoist Centre) both got 491 votes each, an election officer said, adding that the votes were counted twice to ensure there had been no oversight during enumeration.
The tie was then decided through a lucky draw in which Dangi was named the winner. (PR)
