A child died after consuming wild mushroom at Miklajung Rural Municipality-7 in Panchthar district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as 10-year-old Sangam Makhim.

According to the District Police Office, Panchthar, Sangam breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

Similarly, Sapana Makhim, sister of Sangam, who was taken ill after consuming toxic mushroom, is receiving the treatment at the same heath facility. RSS
