The Home Ministry has announced a public holiday on Monday to mark the Eid-ul-Fitr. The ministry, referring to the list of festival holidays mentioned in the Gazette, said in a statement on Sunday that Monday would be a public holiday across the country.
The Muslim community in the country celebrate the occasion that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the dawn-to-dusk fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. (PR)
