Unidentified disease kills 3 in Dolpa
An unidentified disease that has erupted as an epidemic in Mudkechula Village Council of Dolpa district for the past one week has claimed three lives so far.An unidentified disease that has erupted as an epidemic in Mudkechula Village Council of Dolpa district for the past one week has claimed three lives so far.
The deceased have been identified as Puja Shahi, 7, Lal Bahadur Buda, 60 and Laxmi Buda, 69—all residents of Sur in Mudkechula, according to epidemic control division of District Health Office, Dolpa.
According to Rana Lal Kulal of the division, 102 people have been seriously ill in Narku and Sur Village of the district. The numbers of victims are expected to be even more, he said.
The victims contaminated with the disease complain of headache, nose bleeding, fever, cough and chest pain.
Health workers from Ill Health Post are visiting door to door to provide medical treatment to the villagers.
Kulal informed that health workers of nearby villages have been made aware about the epidemic and adopt control measures to prevent the disease from spreading.
