A day after the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) announced fresh protests, the governing parties on Monday said that the second phase of local polls would take place on the scheduled date of June 28. Nepali Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak at an interaction in the Capital said on Monday that polls won’t be delayed even if the RJP-N refuses to participate. “However, efforts to bring the RJP-N on election process will continue,” said Lekhak. On Monday Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba also discussed political developments, including the RJP-N, with CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
