President to visit Geneva for ILO summit

President Bidya Devi Bhandari will embark on an official visit of Switzerland on Tuesday to participate in the International Labour Organization’s ‘World on Work Summit’.
A Cabinet meeting on Sunday approved the President’s visit to Geneva, Switzerland, where she is a keynote speaker at the 106th session of the ILO summit. She will also lobby for Nepal’s candidature for ILO governing body, said Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.
The President is visiting Geneva at the invitation of ILO Director General Guy Ryder.
The Cabinet meeting has also approved to provide grants worth Rs265.3 million to 20 civil servants aspiring for further studies at various universities in Japan under ‘Japan Development Studies’.
