The checkpoints along the Nepal-India border in the districts are to be closed in view of the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 28.
The Pashupatinagar, Chhabbise, Manebhanjyang, Tumling, and Sandakpur checkpoints will be closed 48 hours before the commencement of the elections, according to Chief District Officer of Ilam Janak Raj Dahal. It is stated that they decided to close the point before the elections.
The meeting also agreed to intensify security checks along the border before 48 hours of the elections aimed at not to let occur any activities against the election. RSS
