Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav has said that the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 28 would not be postponed under any circumstances.
Talking to journalists in Biratnagar on Friday, CEC Yadav said the polling date would not be deferred under any pretext as the election process has already moved forward. Yadav urged all to help make the elections a success. He made it clear that the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal will not get the electoral symbol it demanded as the party has not been registered with the Election Commission. (PR)
