52 temp cops quit in Lumbini

As many as 52 temporary police personnel or Myadi police working in Lumbini Zone have quit their jobs after postponement of the second phase of local level elections.
According to the Lumbini Zonal Police Office, 21 Myadi police have quit in Rupandehi and two in Kapilvastu. Four of them left their jobs in Palpa, two in Arghakhanchi, eight in Gulmi and 15 in Nawalparasi.
Dipak Thapa, chief of the Lumbini Zonal Office, said some of the Myadi police quit their jobs also to go abroad for employment.
A few others left due to various reasons. The zonal office had recruited 7,972 temporary cops in the six districts of Lumbini Zone. (PR)
