23 arrested from Sanepa gambling den

A police team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on Friday raided a gambling joint being run in a private house in Sanepa, Kathmandu, and arrested 23 persons.
Two of the three operators were also arrested in the police action.
They have been identified as Kapil Nagpal and Tara Sharma. Police are searching for the third operator Ramesh Agrawal, sources said.
Police said that they have also confiscated Rs 6 million from the scene.
CIB spokesperson Mira Chaudhary said that the operators have been running the gambling den in a casino style in the four-storey house.
“We’ve even found coins used in casinos for the gambling,” said Chaudhary.
It has been learnt that all the arrestees are Nepalis.
