The newly elected chief of Jwalamukhi Village Council, Dhading, and six Nepali Congress (NC) cadres were injured after they were allegedly attacked by the CPN-UML supporters at Maidi on Saturday night.
NC claimed the chairman-elect of Jwalamukhi Village Council, Binod Timilsina, and six party cadres were injured in the attack.
The UML, however, claimed it was the NC supporters who first launched the attack. Rudraman Shrestha, the ward member-elect of Jwalamukhi-3, said the NC cadres had first hurled stones at the UML supporters who were returning home from a victory rally. (PR)
