Two candidates in Lamjung district have been elected unopposed in different rural municipalities.
They were elected after being the lone candidates for the post in the elections scheduled to be held on May 14.
Jalu Damai of CPN-UML was elected the member representing the Dalit community in Ward No 4 of Khyolasontha Rural Municipality as she was the only candidate for the post.
Likewise, Sunita BK was elected as the Dalit women member from the CPN (Maoist Centre) from Ward No 4 of Dudhpokari Rural Municipality.
The members who are elected unopposed will become officials after the election symbol is distributed on May 5, according to the office of the district election officer. RSS
