The number of candidates filing nominations to various positions in the five rural municipalities under the May 14 local elections has crossed five hundred in the district.
A total of 539 candidates filed nominations to contest in the elections in Naukunda, Kalika, Uttargaya, Gosaikunda and Parbatikunda rural municipalities, according to the office of the Chief Returning officer in Rasuwa, Ramraja Upreti.
Those contesting represent Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, CPN (MC), Naya Shakti Nepal, RPP, Federal Socialist Forum Nepal and some independent candidates. RSS
