A woman inmate, who was doing her time on kidnapping charge at the District Jail in Jhapa, died while undergoing treatment at the Biratnagar-based Nobel Hospital on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Saru Tamang, 20, of Dharampur-4 in Jhapa district, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.

Tamang was taken to the Hospital after she complained of health problem related to uterus, police said.

She was serving jail time since March 2, 2015 as the District Court Jhapa had sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment, police added.RSS
