CPN-UML has announced candidates from Madhyapur Thimi Municipality for upcoming local level elections slated for May 14.

The party said it will field Madan Sundar Shrestha as mayor and Sushila Subedi as deputy mayor from the municipality.

Likewise, the party chose Juna Basnet for deputy mayoral post from Suryabinayak Municipality while it has picked Rita Awal as mayor candidate from Bhaktapur Municipality, said UML publicity department chief Shyam Sundar Basnet.

For mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality, Bishnu Awal, KP Chawal and Shree Kumar Ranjit have been recommended by the party.
