Police on Friday arrested two persons in possession of a deer's carcass.
According to the District Police Office, Kaski, the suspects have been identified as Jivan Gurung of Pokhara – 8 and Bikash Gurung of Pokhara – 3.
Police said that the duo were arrested while they were transporting the dead deer from Machhapuchhre Village Council to Pokhara.
The carcass was hidden inside a jeep with registration number plate Ba 17 Cha 2878.
The deer's carcass has been handed over to the District Forest Office. RSS
