Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba held a meeting with CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli at the latter’s residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, on Saturday morning.
According to Deuba’s personal assistant Bhanu Deuba, the duo discussed constitution amendment bill and local level elections among others.
With just 15 days left for the local polls, the elections are still in dilemma.
The government has been trying to endorse the revised constitution amendment bill to bring the Madhes-based parties on board the elections.
The UML, however, on Thursday had said that the amendment bill was against the national interests and decided to not support the bill.
The first phase of local polls has been slated for May 14.
