A middle-aged man was died in an unfortunate storm related incident in Achham district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as 55 – year – old Narpata Saud of Bannigadhi Jayagadh Village Council – 3, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Niranjan Datta Bhatta, said.

Saud was returning home from a nearby field in the evening during the storm accompanied with intense rainfall when he decided to take shelter under a tree. The tree's branch fell off in the storm and struck Saud who was standing below.

Saud died on the way to hospital for treatment, police said. His body has been kept at the district hospital for an autopsy. RSS
