President Bidya Devi Bhandari returned home on Friday evening after completing her five-day state visit to India. President Bhandari had left for New Delhi on Monday at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari returned home on Friday evening after completing her five-day state visit to India. President Bhandari had left for New Delhi on Monday at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee.
During her stay in India, President Bhandari held high level official talks with her Indian counterpart Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior government ministers and various political leaders.
Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, ministers and senior government officials received President Bhandari at the VVIP lounge of the Tribhuvan International Airport on Friday evening.
After completing her engagements in New Delhi on Monday and Tuesday, Bhandari toured Indian states of Gujarat and Odisha before wrapping her five-day state visit, the first since she assumed office, to the southern neighbour.
