The United Club of Pokhara has donated Rs 1.085 million to a wildlife rescue centre set up inside the proposed Pokhara International Zoo in Pachabhaiya of Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitan City.
The club had raised the money by organising Pokhara Street Festival. The amount was handed over on Friday, on the occasion of the club’s seventh anniversary. The wildlife rescue centre was recently set up with an objective of treating and rehabilitating injured and sick wildlife.
