One person was killed while two others sustained injuries after being struck by a lightning in Tehrathum district on Wednesday night.

 According to the Area police Office, Sankranti Bazaar, the deceased has been identified as Phitrani Rai, 53, of Phedap Municipality-5 of the district.

Police said that Geeta Rai and Tek Bahadur Rai were injured in the incident. They are receiving treatment at a local health post.

The lightning struck them as they were preparing meal in the kitchen. RSS
