A child has died after being struck by a lightning at Handikholmama in Manahari Municipality-4 of Makwanpur district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as nine-year-old Ashok Praja.

Praja was at home when the incident occurred.

According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, Praja’s father Ram Kumar sustained minor injuries in the incident.

He is undergoing treatment at a local health post, police said. RSS
