Following widespread criticism, the government on Monday rolled back its earlier decision of public holiday on Friday, the day President Bidya Devi Bhandari will return home from her five-day state visit to India.
Earlier, the government had announced public holidays on Monday and Friday for President Bhandari’s departure and arrival.
The government has made amends to its earlier decision of declaring Friday a public holiday and withdrawn the decision, the Ministry of Home Affairs said in a statement. President Bhandari left for New Delhi on Monday.
