TIA declares no-fly zone during prez departure

Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has declared no-fly zones for 35 minutes from 10:30am to 11:05am on Monday to ensure security of President Bidya Devi Bhandari who is visiting India.
Bhandari is on a five-day state visit to India. The airport authority said they have issued “notice to airmen” regarding the VVIP movement.
TIA Spokesperson Prem Nath Thakur said that the flight restriction would affect Lukla and Mountain View flights. “However, it will not affect the international airlines much.”
Lukla has lately been recording more than 60 flights movement daily as it is in the midst of trekking and mountaineering season.
